PLNHOUSE Studio was founded on a single conviction: great residential architecture should not require a $500,000 custom design contract. The plan house model is not a compromise — it is a different philosophy. Design once, license forever, build beautifully.
Every plan in the catalog begins as a conviction. A belief that a particular combination of form, material proportion, and spatial sequence represents something worth building. Plans are not released until that conviction is satisfied.
The result is a catalog of architectural plans that are genuinely distinct — not spec builder templates, not suburban mass-market floorplans. Plans designed for people who know exactly what they want, and have been waiting to find it at a price that makes building it possible.
The current catalog spans four architectural statements — from restrained modern farmhouse to old world luxury estate. Each is available under three license tiers. Each is designed to be built.
Every PLNHOUSE Studio plan begins as a conviction. A belief that a particular combination of form, material, and space represents the peak of residential design at a given moment. The plans are drafted to that conviction. They are released only when they are complete.
Completeness, in this context, is specific. It means the plan has been drawn to full construction-document standards — not conceptual sketches, not design development drawings, but the kind of thorough, detailed plan set that a licensed architect can take and adapt for local code without fundamental redesign. The elevation has been resolved. The section has been drawn. The room schedule accounts for every space.
This standard of completeness is why there are four plans in the catalog and not forty. Every plan here earned its place. None was released to fill a gap, hit a price point, or satisfy a market segment. They exist because they are worth building.
"The plan is the first act of building."
